So I’m all settled in to my new place. It’s nice and comfy and the weather has been amazing since I moved in, so that’s a nice added bonus. There’s a good front porch for catching some sun, and several great coffee shops (including Jim and Patty’s, Portland’s original “Coffee People” which is their claim to fame but I’m not really sure what it means), restaurants and cute stores within about a 5 minute walk. I haven’t made it over to my new library branch yet, but I’ll get there sometime this week.
I’m behind in my movie reviewing. Not too far behind, as I’ve slowed down on the movie watching lately, but I still need to tell you about a few.
Slumdog Millionaire: Really intense in parts, but very good.
Babel: Strange, shocking in parts, but interesting. I don’t really highly recommend it though.
Happy Go Lucky: Stay far far away from this terrible movie, else you will decide to throw things at the TV in order to knock the smile off the main characters face, within the first 20 minutes. At least that’s as far as I paid attention.
I’ve Loved You So Long: Really good. Subtitles, but worth it.
That’s all to report at the moment. Hope your Monday is as warm and sunny as it is here!
